Established in 1971, Newlands Home Bakery is an independent family-run business with five local shops in the Southside of Glasgow.

Our founder David Irvine opened his first bakery in Newlands, 1971. As business grew he then opened his second shop in Newton Mearns in 1982.

 

David's family were also working in the business throughout the years and as our wholesale customers expanded we decided to relocate to larger premises in 1983 (where we are today!). 

 

Both our wholesale and retail business became very popular and therefore we decided to increase our workforce with talented bakers and shop assistants to serve our loyal customers. Shortly after we opened our bakery shops in Clarkston and Cathcart.

 

Fast forward to 2020 where we launched our new home delivery and click and collect service, which proved to be very popular. Our loyal customers relied on us to deliver freshly baked goods to their doorstep and delight to our customers ears, we are still running this service today. 

 

The year 2021 marks Newlands Home Bakery celebrating 50 years; brothers, Alisdair Irvine and Stephen Irvine, 4th generation family members who run the family business today.
